Horsefield tortoise not eating much. Is this normal?

As tortoises are cold blooded they will not eat if they are not warm enough.You need to keep him in a temperature of at least 75 in a vivarium or with a spotlamp bulb suspended over him. You have to provide him with an artificial summer and once he is warm enough he will start to eat. A good variety of food is essential so you are doing the right thing with all you are offering him.You could try some strong smelling vegetable such as cooked cauluflower or brocolli to start his appetite up. Dandelion leaves are good full of nutrition and most tortoises love these.
