I need help right now!?
This is the exact thing that happened 2 years ago when Russia attacked georgia over South Ossetia (or however you write it) The US chose not to intervene and sent only one ship with humanitarian aid. Try to look back on news paper and websites about how the incident was handled. It would not have been convenient for the US to intervene much in favor or Georgia fearing Russian retaliation on other allies in Europe. Russia needed only to close valves of natural gas that it exports to the rest of Europe to bring it to it's knees. The US response was appropriate.
