Max Effective Range of a Remington 700 .270?

probably 500 yards then the bullets just start to go wherever, maybe less, try to get a longer barrel because you lose velocity with a shorter barrel. And wood grain? please dont say these things if you want to get into longrange tactical shooting. And 12" is not a good group at 800 yards. Before you even try to shoot long range you should be able to hit a dime all 3 times in a 3 shot group at 100 yards. if you want to talk about a setup for long range tactical shooting email me.
