Can i use a nintendo wii component cable on my gamecube? to get 480p (progressive scan picture)?

i have a PAL gamecube with the digital out option along with the standard av option and have an american copy of zelda which i have a freeloader to play it. i have a hdtv and want to have a progressive scan picture. are wii component cables ok as finding gamecube cables is difficult. thanks
