My laptop wouldnt shutdown?

i just format my laptop. i had a problem with the networking which i almost fix. i can connect to internet by other people router signal but not on mine router signal which is working perfect. other problem is that now when i shutdown computer it doesnt shutdown and all the icons disappears from the desktop but not shutdiwn pleaser if u give me some advice thank u
