Pisces and ADHD/ADD medication?

my bf is a pisces on adhd medicine. i think it dulls his originality but his parents like it cause it "helps him with school" he's in college, not high school. and i don't see him "growing out of it" anytime soon. it's a part of his personality, the spaceyness and distracted ways.
