What could be wrong with my fourwheeler?

I just bought a 2000 yamaha bear tracker. Didn't have fire when i bought it so I had it checked out by a dealership and they said the stator was bad. Replaced the stator and still no fire. They said it could possible be the cdi box, which is the next thing I will check. Just wondering if there might be something else I am missing or maybe a trick I don't know about.
